The images bellow of Durdle Door demonstrate the difference between taking a snap and with a little bit of photographic knowledge the same subject can produce a picture you might want on your wall.
The image on the left is taken on an auto setting without any real thought as to time of day.
The image on the right is taken during the magic hour of the evening when we have a warmer more sympathetic light using a filter to step down the light so that a longer exposure can be taken. This longer exposure results in a creamy sea to set off the rock.
